Geneva, Ohio – Senior Hank Sinn, who was making his first appearance on the national stage in his final collegiate meet, placed 11^th in the hammer throw at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships on Saturday.
 
A native of Latty, Ohio, Sinn qualified as the No. 19 seed with his school-record throw of 187-11 (57.29m) and improved upon that standing by eight places.
 
Today he hit 183-11.25 (56.06m) on his first throw and following a tough-luck foul, his third preliminary toss went 182-0.75 (55.49m).
 
Zak Dysert of Baldwin Wallace won the event with a mark of 203-05 (62.01m).
 
Sinn, who put together a strong showing in first experience at nationals, will be remembered as one of the top throwers in the history of Oberlin College.
