Series Information…
The Yeomen trail the all-time series, 20-52-1, in a match-up that dates back to 1892 … That was the Yeomen's first undefeated season under John W. Heisman, as Oberlin shutout Ohio Wesleyan 56-0 … The Yeomen's last victory in the series came in 2010 with a 16-12 win.

Last Meeting Against The Battling Bishops …
The Bishops spoiled senior day for the Yeomen in 2014, pulling away for a 50-13 win … Oberlin trailed by just 10 at the half, 23-13, but the Bishops scored 27 third-quarter points and never looked back … Justin Cruz caught eight balls for 38 yards and two touchdowns in the loss … Then freshmen Trace McConnell and Corey Fussinger also combined for eight catches and 97 yards … OWU racked up 465 yards of offense, averaging 6.6 yards per play.

Last Time Out for Oberlin …
The Yeomen have moved on from last Saturday's 45-0 loss at Denison and hope to be much more productive on both sides of the ball against the Bishops … The Yeomen totaled 86 yards of offense on 47 plays, netting just five first downs … Defensively, the Yeomen defense surrendered 396 yards to the Big Red.

Scouting the Battling Bishops …
OWU is still in search of its first win of the season, having played two of the toughest opponents in the country … The Bishops fell to No. 4 Mary Hardin-Baylor, 42-3, in week one and then following a week-two bye, OWU dropped a 42-21 decision on the road to No. 15 Wittenberg last week … Dual-threat junior quarterback Dominick Orsini has thrown for 405 yards and rushed for 50 more, while accounting for three total touchdowns … Overall the Bishops' ground game is yet to get going with just 102 yards thus far … OWU has an array of wideouts with big play ability with five players averaging over 10 yards per catch … Adrian Bishop leads the way with 134 yards on seven catches … The Bishops' defense has forced a fumble and made three interceptions … Junior linebacker Keaton Leppla leads a trio of players with over 22 tackles as he has 25.

Kick it to Quigley …
Freshman Fletcher Quigley has been a spark to the Yeomen's special teams as a return man … The Williamsport, Pennsylvania, native is averaging 19.2 yards on kickoff returns, which ranks second best in the NCAC … His punt return average of 19 yards also leads all NCAC returners who have at least three attempts this season, while his season-long punt return of 49 yards is a league best.

Bennett and Bute …
Bennett Jackson and Justin Bute are two of the top tacklers in the NCAC … Coming off a career-high 17-tackle performance, Jackson ranks fifth in the league with an average of 11 tackles per game, while his 33 total stops are second in the conference … Bute, who was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week for his 15-tackle effort against Kenyon, is close behind as he is seventh in the NCAC with average of 10.7 tackles per game.

Opportunity Awaits …
While the Bishops have battled two of the toughest opponents in the country, they have allowed 42 points in each game … The Yeomen have scored just 35 points through the first three games, but will hopefully find the same holes in the OWU defense that Mary Hardin-Baylor and Wittenberg found.

Keep Up the Pressure …
Oberlin opened up a 20-3 lead two weeks ago against Kenyon and held on to win 28-24, scoring just eight points in the second half … In 2014 the Yeomen also struggled to score in the second half, totaling 72 points in the second half with only 19 coming in the fourth quarter.

Don't Let it Happen Again …
Prior to last Saturday's shutout at Denison, the Yeomen had not been blanked since week three of the 2013 season when they lost 59-0 to Wittenberg … Preceding that thumping, the Yeomen went 49 games without being shutout as they were dealt a 22-0 setback by Allegheny on September 26, 2009.
