Oberlin, Ohio – The Oberlin College football team will honor its 10 senior members prior to kickoff between the Yeomen and Hiram College Terriers on Saturday afternoon at the Austin E. Knowlton Athletics Complex.
All fans will also get in free as part of Oberlin Community Day with the first 150 fans getting their choice between a free pair of tech gloves or a phone wallet.

Live Audio Series Information …Oberlin leads the all-time series 29-28 … Oberlin has won the five of the last six meetings and 11 of the last 13 dating back to 2002 … Since the year 2000 the Yeomen have lost to Hiram just four times (2000, 2001, 2008, 2014) … The history between the two schools dates back to 1895 when Oberlin shutout the Terriers 52-0.
Last Year Against the Terriers … The 2014 season ended in disappoint for the Yeomen as the Terriers ended a five-game losing streak against Oberlin, earning a 35-13 win on November 14 … Hiram led 21-0 at the break and Oberlin tried to make a game of it with two third-quarter touchdowns, but the Terriers scored two more TDs in the fourth to put the game away for good … The lone bright spot came from
Justin Cruz as he set the single-season school record for receiving touchdowns, hauling in both of the Yeomen's TDs in the game to give him 11 for the year.
Last Time Out for the Yeomen …Oberlin played its final road game of the season, making the overnight trip to DePauw where they fell to the Tigers 53-0 …
Khalil Rivers rushed for a season-high 40 yards on seven carries, while
Lucas Poggiali was 13-of-34 for 147 yards passing.
Scouting the Terriers … Hiram enters having won three of its last four games, which includes last week's thrilling 40-36 win over Wooster … The Hiram defense allows 393.7 yards per game, which ranks eighth in the NCAC … As a team the Terriers have scored 21 touchdowns, which is ninth in the conference as they average just 18.2 points per game … The Terriers have an opportunistic defense that has created 18 turnovers and a +2 turnover margin … Junior Nic Paolo has settled in at quarterback, throwing for 1,115 yards and nine touchdowns over the last five games … Sophomore Danny Robinson leads the ground attack with 72.9 yards per game and seven touchdowns, while Nate Eaton is the team's top pass catcher with 45 catches for 537 yards.
Senior Send Off … Saturday marks the final game for the 11 Yeomen seniors, who have given their all to the program over the last four years …

Passing Machine … Lucas Poggiali moved into second on Oberlin's all-time passing list last week with 147 yards against DePauw, giving him a career-best 1,539 yards for the season … In his four years at quarterback he has thrown for 5,271 yards … He passed James Parker (1994-97) who totaled 5,222 yards in his career … Only former Yeomen great Greg Mangan (2005-2008) threw for more yards in the crimson and gold as he registered 7,002 yards passing … In his career Poggiali has accounted for 47 touchdowns, throwing for 35, rushing for 11 and catching one.
Yeomen in Finales …Over the last six years Oberlin is 3-3 in season finales … The Yeomen beat Hiram 47-13 in 2013, took care of Allegheny 14-13 in 2011 and also beat Hiram 34-29 to end the 2009 season.
Fighting for Four … A win on Saturday would give the Yeomen a 4-6 record for the first time since 2012 and be just the third time since 2010 … A victory would also double the Yeomen's win total from 2014 when they finished the season at 2-8 … A win would also give the Yeomen a 3-2 record on the Bailey Field Turf … Oberlin won three home games in its final season at Savage Stadium in 2013, but prior to that year the Yeomen's best home record was in 2007 when they were 4-1.
Being Blake …Blake Buckhannon has put together a strong four-year career for the Yeomen, scoring 13 total touchdowns, including five this season … A jack-of-all-trades, the Collins, Ohio, native has amassed 2,618 all-purpose yards in his Oberlin tenure.
A Sacking C.J. … Senior
C.J. Ihle has fought through injury to play in 29 games and record 11.5 sacks, which includes 7.5 in 2013 – a mark that is seventh on the all-time single-season list … He is also seventh on the all-time career list – a half sack behind Jake Danko who had 12 sacks between 2010-2013.
