Last Meeting Against The Tigers: The Yeomen fell to the Tigers at Blackstock Stadium 45-11 on October 12, 2013 … Blake Buckhannon had 214 all-purpose yards in the game and scored the Yeomen's lone touchdown … However, Lucas Poggiali threw three interceptions as Oberlin turned the ball over four times.

Last Time Out For Oberlin: The Yeomen fell at home to nationally ranked Wittenberg, 48-10, on September 27.

Series Information: This is just the second meeting between the school's since DePauw joined the NCAC in 2011 …  Prior to the 2013 season, their last battle came in 1983 when DePauw won 28-15 … The series dates back to 1929 in a game that saw DePauw prevail 7-0 … The two foes would not meet again until 1941 … Oberlin's first win in the series was in 1945 when they beat the Tigers in the season finale, 26-14, to cap an undefeated season for the Yeomen.

Scouting the Tigers …
DePauw enters the game riding a two-game winning streak with wins over NCAC foes Kenyon (27-0) and Denison (27-15) … The defensive side of the ball is where the Tigers shine as they are allowing just 15.5 points per game, which is good for third best in the NCAC … They are especially good against the pass as they lead the league in pass efficiency defense and are second in pass yards allowed at 167.8 per game … Through four games they have allowed just four TDs through the air and have five INTs …  The Tigers have had eight different players carry the ball on the ground so far with Amen Galley leading the way with 80 yards per game … Through the air 14 players have caught at least one pass from quarterback Matt Hunt who is averaging 162.5 yards per game … On the season he has six TD tosses against three INTs.

Staring Schenk …
Senior Max Schenk has played a major role for the Yeomen this season … The linebacker leads the team and is third in the NCAC with 41 tackles (30 solo) …  An Oakland, California, native Schenk has also been key as the Yeomen's punter … He is second in the league with an average 41.8 yards per punt, which have covered a league-best 908 yards … His coverage team has also been clutch, as the Yeomen are third in the league with a net average 33.5 yards per kick … Schenk has pinned five kicks inside the 20 and has two boots of over 50 yards.

Blake is Balling …
Junior Blake Buckhannon has continued to be one of the most dynamic athletes in the NCAC … The Collins, Ohio, native is second in the NCAC with 148.2 all-purpose yards per game, trailing Sean Hackel of Wooster 595-593 in total all-purpose yards entering this week … Buckhannon ranks fifth in the league in rushing (85.2 ypg) and sixth in kick return yards … Last year against the Tigers he finished with 214 all-purpose yards with 75 yards rushing, 70 yards receiving and 69 yards on kickoff returns.

He's One Away …
Senior place kicker Erickson Andrews is just one field goal away from tying Steve Willever (2001-04) as the school's all-time field goal leader with 18 field goals made … So far this season Andrews has converted 4-of-5 opportunities, while he is a perfect 9-for-9 on point-after attempts.

Bye Bye to the Bye? …
In the 2013 the Yeomen's bye week came in week one of the season, meaning they played 10 straight weeks once they opened the season, which started with a 19-2 win over Case Western Reserve University in week two … The victory marked the Yeomen's first win following the bye week in any year in the 2000s … With last week off, the Yeomen are hoping for a different result on Saturday.

3rd-Down Woes …
Third down has been an area of concern on both sides of the ball for the Yeomen thus far … Offensively the Yeomen have converted 19-of-36 chances for a 35.8 percent success rate, and defensively, opponents have moved the chains 63.2 percent of the time, with 36 successful conversions on 57 attempts … Both numbers rank last in the NCAC.

Cashing In …
The Yeomen have been doing a good job in converting their red zone opportunities, producing points on 10-of-11 trips so far this season … They have cashed in six touchdowns and four field goals on the season, but need to do a better job in getting there as Oberlin opponents have produced points on 21-of-24 chances so far this year.
