Oberlin, Ohio – The Oberlin College field hockey team defeated visiting Earlham College, 3-0, to pick up their first NCAC win of the season.
The Yeowomen dominated the match offensively by racking up 15 total shots - 12 of which were on goal. Earlham had just three attempts with one on frame.

Maureen Coffey picked up her first collegiate point by finding junior
Elizabeth Raskin who navigated the crowd in front of goal and buried her third goal of the season.
Less than 10 minutes into the second half the Yeowomen doubled their lead when they earned a penalty stroke and freshman
Jennifer Krakower stepped to the spot. Krakower pounded the shot to the upper the left corner and netted her first collegiate goal.

Jodi Helsel and nailed the buzzer beater shot for her second goal of the season and wrapped up a great offensive game for the Yeowomen.

Claire Yeske came off the bench to lead the team with six shots, four of them on goal. As a team, the Yeowomen earned 16 penalty corners, compared to just six for the Quakers.

Carmen Azevedo was only forced to make one save in her second shutout of the season.
The Yeowomen will be back in action next weekend as they travel to The College of Wooster on Saturday and Kenyon College on Sunday. Both games are scheduled to start at noon.
