Series: The Bishops lead the all-time series, 20-50-1, in a series that dates back to 1892. That was the Yeomen's first undefeated season under John W. Heisman, as Oberlin shutout Ohio Wesleyan 56-0. The Yeomen's last victory in the series came in 2010 with a 16-12 win.
 
Last Meeting Against The Battling Bishops: Making his first appearance at quarterback for the Yeomen was then-freshman Lucas Poggiali, who threw for 197 yards and rushed for 47 more in the 29-17 setback last fall. Former Yeomen All-American Clay Eaton had two sacks in the game, which officially put him atop the Oberlin record book as the all-time sack leader. Fifth-year senior Adam Niec had a career-high 149 receiving yards.
 
Last Time Out for Oberlin: Despite running 20 more offensive plays and outgaining Denison by 109 total yards, the Yeomen weren't able to capitalize and fell to the Big Red, 27-14. Poggiali threw for a career-high 293 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. Niec had his best game of the season with 93 yards on seven catches. Moses Richardson racked up 60 rushing yards on 19 carries.
 
Scouting the Battling Bishops …
Senior quarterback Mason Espinosa runs the show for Ohio Wesleyan, having racked up 2672 passing yards, which is second-best in Division III, and 17 touchdowns this season … Espinosa's 334 passing yards per game leads the NCAC and is fourth-best in all of Division III … With four receivers over 500 yards, the Bishops like to spread it out through the air … Leading receiver Dave Mogilnicki has 718 yards and eight touchdowns so far on the season … Kevin Herman leads the Bishops running attack that averages 73.1 yards per game … Rayce Risser leads the Bishop's defense with 68 total tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss … Jonathan Valentine is fourth in nation with 12 sacks this season.
 
Sophomore Standouts …
Not only did Poggiali have a career-high 293 passing yards last week against Denison, but classmate Blake Buckhannon hauled in 143 of those yards, which was also a career-best … The two help the Yeomen amass 401 yards of total offense, the Yeomen's second-highest total of the year … Buckhannon also racked up 191 yards of total offense and is fifth in the conference with 127.6 all-purpose yards per game.
 
Hit 'Em Hard …
Senior Kyle Kessler recorded 13 tackles last week against the Big Red, marking his fourth double-digit performance of the season … The middle linebacker leads the Yeomen with 77 total tackles and is third in the NCAC, averaging just under 10 tackles per game.
 
Balanced Attack …
Oberlin is continuing to rack up the offensive yards both on the ground and through the air this season … With 156.1 passing and 129.9 rushing yards per game the Yeomen are distributing the ball evenly.
 
Rolling the Dice …
The Yeomen are 8-for-13 when going for it on fourth down this season … The Yeomen have converted four of their last five opportunities … After converting their lone opportunity against Wabash two weeks ago, the Yeomen went 3-for-4 on fourth downs last week at Denison.

In Oberlin's two wins, the Yeomen are averaging 216 rushing yards per game, including 95.5 yards per game from Moses Richardson … On the flip side, when Oberlin has lost, they are averaging just 101 rushing yards per game.
