Series: Oberlin trails in the all-time series against the Big Red 16-48-3… The first meeting between the two schools was in 1911 … Under Head Coach Jeff Ramsey, the Yeomen are 8-3 against Denison.

Last Meeting Against The Big Red: In 2012, the Yeomen downed the Big Red 30-6 for their second victory of the season ... Jake Danko had a career day, recording four sacks and five tackles for a loss ... Former Yeomen Robin Witjes record 222 receiving yards in the victory, which is the second-highest total in program history ... Oberlin graduates Shawn Chrapczynski and Matt Richard had the play of the game when Chrapczynski blocked a field goal attempt by Denison and Richard scooped up the ball and returned it 85 yards for a touchdown.

Last Time Out for Oberlin: Despite a hard fought game by the defense, eight turnovers by the Yeomen offense proved to be too much to overcome in a 27-10 loss to the No. 11 Wabash Little Giants ... The Yeomen held the Little Giants' high-powered offense to just 20 points, as they scored a defensive touchdown on an interception return … Oberlin had an early 3-0 lead in the game, it was the first time Wabash trailed in a game since the Yeomen beat them 31-16 last season.

Scouting The Big Red …
The Denison offense is lead by one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in junior Brandon Sklenar … The two-time NCAC Offensive Player of the Week, averages 223 passing and 65.7 rushing yards per game … He has scored 12 touchdowns through the air and six on the ground … Sklener ranks in the top five in the NCAC in all four of those categories … Receiver Dushawn Brown has hauled in five touchdowns and averages over 45 receiving yards per game… Andrew Baird leads the Big Red defense with 54 total tackles, five tackles for loss, and one sack.

Back on the Right Foot …
Since starting season 0-for-4 on field goal attempts, Erickson Andrews has nailed his last three attempts, from 27, 28, and 32 yards … He has also converted all nine extra points attempts since the first game of the season when Case Western blocked two.

Down in the Backfield …
Oberlin's defensive linemen C.J. Ihle and Kirby Livingston are continuing to disrupt backfields as the two each have eight tackles for loss this season … That ties them for ninth in the NCAC … Ihle's 3.5 sacks ranks him 11th in the conference … Their pass rush has limited opposing teams to an average of just 144.5 passing yards over the last two games.

Catch and Run …
Last week against Wabash, running backs Moses Richardson and Blake Buckhannon led the Yeomen in both rushing and receiving … Richardson combined for 69 yards, including a 29-yard reception … Buckhannon had 63 rushing and receiving yards and also added 56 more on kick returns.

Red Zone Crunch …
Last week, the Little Giants had seven red zone possessions but were held to just a touchdown and two field goals by the Yeomen defense … Oberlin also had two goal-line stands … On the season the Yeomen have surrender points on just 20 of the opposition's 31 red zone visits … Getting at least three points against the Yeomen is no guarantee either as opponents have converted just 50 percent of their field goal tries this season.

Move Those Chains …
The Big Red defense ranks eighth in the conference with 414.4 yards allowed per game, which should bode well for Lucas Poggiali and the Yeomen offense … The Dension defense is giving up an average of 6.5 yards per play and has allowed 31 touchdowns on the season, the second most of any team in the NCAC.

Special Player …
Blake Buckhannon continues to impress on special teams as he is second in the conference with a total of 365 kick return yards … He has also factored in on both kick and punt coverage, forcing a key fumble on a punt return last week against Wabash.

Quick Learner …
Playing his first season of football, Connor Jackson is a quick study, having moved into a starting cornerback spot two weeks ago … Since being inserted there he has made three interceptions over the last two games with two against Allegheny and one last week against Michael Putko of Wabash … It was just Putko's third INT of the season.
