Oberlin, Ohio- The Oberlin College football team will take on University of Chicago Maroons on September 22 at Savage Stadium as part of Homecoming Weekend. The game will also air on taped delay on SportsTimeOhio (STO).

Series Information
Oberlin leads in the all-time series against the 6-5-1… The first meeting between the two schools was in 1893 when Oberlin defeated the Maroons 33-12… In 2009, the Maroons jumped out early, gaining a 17-3 lead by halftime… The young Yeomen squad was led by then freshman quarterback David Kalgren who rushed for 96 yards and a touchdown while also throwing for a touchdown… The Chicago offense finished with 23 first downs and 522 yards.
 
Scouting the Maroons
Chicago comes into the weekend with a 1-2 record… The Maroons started out the season with a 20-6 win over Beloit, then went onto drop games to Concordia and Elmhurst… Chicago brings in a strong running game that feature two backs that average over 50 yards a game… Running back Ian Gaines leads the offense with 306 rushing yards on the season, 102 yards per game… The backfield also features Zak Ross-Nash who has gained 184 yards on the ground, averaging 60 yards a game… Senior linebacker Alex Dzierbicki leads the Maroon defense with 30 total tackles in 2012.
 
Eaton Moving Up in the Record Book
Senior defensive linemen Clay Eaton has four total sacks on the season and 23.5 in his career… Against Ohio Wesleyan, Eaton broke the record for career sacks, previously set by Chris Pisani… With four sacks in the first two games, Eaton is on pace to break Pisani's single season sack record of 13.5, as well… The senior defensive lineman is tied for third in the conference and third in the nation with two sacks per game… Eaton also ranks in the top ten in the country for tackles for loss, averaging 2.5 a game.
 
Witjes' Career Performance…
Against Ohio Wesleyan last week, senior wide receiver Robin Witjes hauled in 11 receptions for a career high 187 yards and a touchdown… Witjes also added 64 return yards and two rushing yards, totaling a career-best 253 all-purpose yards… Entering week four of the season, Witjes ranks first in the NCAC in receiving yards per game, averaging 96 yards a game.
 
Special Teams, Special Teams, Special Teams …
Several Yeomen sit atop various conference leaderboards in special teams… Witjes ranks first in the NCAC and 11th in the nation in kickoff return yardage, while senior punt returner David Kalgren leads the NCAC in punt return yardage… Sophomore kicker Erickson Andrews is currently ranked second in the conference and second in the nation in field goals per game and is tied for third in the league in scoring.
 
Pogialli Can Play …
Last week against the Bishops, freshman Lucas Poggiali played the entire second half… The rookie from Sandusky, Ohio, threw for 197 yards on 12 completions and rushed for 47 yards on six carries.
