Hillsdale, Michigan – Senior
Joanna Johnson was able improve upon her NCAA provisional qualifying time in the 5K as she completed the course in 17:18.88 at the Hillsdale Gina Relays.
The performance marks an outdoor lifetime best for Johnson. The timestamp is also nearly five full second better than her previous season best of 17:23.46. As things stand currently, her new standard would move her up the performance list from 18th to 13th.
Johnson, who has already posted an automatic qualifying time in the 10K, will be a major factor in next weekend's NCAC Championships at Oberlin.
