Washington University Invite Day 1

Day 1 Results

- The Yeomen are currently in 8th and the Yeowomen are in 10th out of 18 teams after the first day of competition at the Washington University Invitational.

Sophomore Alex Guo took 3rd place in the men's triple jump with an effort of 44 feet 8.75 inches.

Senior Josh Gallagher was 4th in the hammer throw with 148 feet 8 inches. That mark sets a new Oberlin school record.

Junior Courtney Konow put in a solid effort in the women's javelin throw. She posted a personal best of 92 feet for 7th place.

Hillary Tipton ran to a 5th place finish in the women's 10,000 meter run with a time of 39.50.57. Teammate Kristina Witcher was 8th in the event (41:13.59).

Sophomore Vlad Bursuc is currently sitting in 9th place in the men's decathlon with 2,478 points. He is currently on pace to setting a new personal best.
