Mesa, Ariz.
- Eric Knight's walk-off single in the bottom of the 10th inning lifted the Oberlin College baseball team to a thrilling 9-8 come-from-behind extra-inning win over Gustavus Adolphus to cap off an 8-3 week in Arizona for the Yeomen.

After surrendering a 5-1 lead, the Yeomen rallied in the bottom of the ninth to score three runs and force the extra fame. Brandon Cantrill led off the inning with a single and was lifted for Phil Brua to come in and pinch run. Following a Gusties' error, rookie Sean Cohen singled up the middle to score Brua. Another GA miscue resulted in Steve DiNanno scoring, but the big play came courtesy of Zach Jaspers as his pinch hit sac fly to center would score pinch runner Ethan Blumenthal to get things back to even.

In the top of the 10th, rookie Drew Karlin came in to pitch and shutdown the Gusties in order. His effort was rewarded as he was credited with his second vulture win of the season.

Following to quick outs to start the home half of the 10th, Brua would drop down a picture perfect drag bunt. Knight followed by belting a 3-2 pitch the center field that bounced over the center fielder's head, allowing Brua to score all the way from first base.

The Yeomen were on cruise control early on as starter Ryan Mouch was pitching with a 5-1 cushion before a two-out error opened the flood gates for a four-run fifth inning for the Gusties. Mouch worked seven strong innings as he fanned three and walked just one over 114 pitches (72 strikes) of work. All five runs Gustavus scored on him were unearned.

Oberlin's first three runs came via Cantrill's double in the first and Knight's two-run single in the third. OC would add two more in the fifth as Kevin Verne scored on a double steal which was followed by Zach Kisley's single to right to score Ben Kauder. Kauder went 5-for-6 in the game with three runs scored, while Kisley was 4-for-6.

The Gusties would grab an 8-5 lead by scoring two in the eighth and one in the ninth off of Cantrill. However, just two of the three runs were earned.

Oberlin was able to overcome a six-error performance by pounding out a season-high 19 hits. On the trip the Yeomen batted .327 as a team and posted a 2.47 team ERA. View the stats from the trip (here).

The Yeomen will have a quick turnaround as they have redeye flight home tonight and will leave Friday afternoon for a conference doubleheader at Wabash on Saturday before completing the weekend with another NCAC twinbill on Sunday at Wittenberg.
