Meadville, Pa. – The Oberlin College women's basketball team couldn't overcome a slow start as it fell to Allegheny College 80-37 on Thursday night the David V. Wise Center.
The Gators came out scorching hot, while the Yeowomen were colder than the weather outside. It took nearly 11 minutes before Oberlin finally got on the board to make it 23-3.
Oberlin didn't have a single double-digit scoring performance as rookie
Malisa Hoak was the team's high scorer with eight points.
The Yeowomen shot a season-low 20 percent (14-of-70), which also included a season-low 12.5 percent (3-of-24) from beyond the arc.
OC will look to forget about this performance as Kenyon College comes to town on Saturday afternoon for a 4 p.m. battle. Fans should note the time change from its originally scheduled start of 2 p.m.
