Oberlin, Ohio - The Oberlin College field hockey team scored early and often as it defeated Earlham College 3-1 in what was the season finale for both teams on Saturday afternoon.

The victory, which was a perfect way to send out seniors Kiri Brenner and Emily Whitaker, was seventh of the season and fourth conference victory for the Yeowomen.

Oberlin jumped on Earlham with three first-half goals. The first came courtesy of Lindani Johnson as she finished off a penalty corner service from Eloise Reid.  Reid later added a score of her own with an assist coming from rookie Jodi Helsel.

The first-half scoring came to an end at the 29:29 mark when Claire Yeske finished off a loose ball in front of the cage. Oberlin was shooting at the south side of the field in the first half, which allowed for better scoring opportunities due to the poor field conditions that remained on the north side.

The Quakers would finally break through in the 49th minute when Diana Ainembabazi sent a shot past Yeowomen keeper Kiran Puri. However, they would be kept off the scoreboard from there.

After firing off 14 shots in the first half, Oberlin attempted six attempts in the second session. Overall they triggered 20 shots compared to Earlham's 13. The Quakers finished with a slight 10-9 edge in penalty corners. Puri finished with eight saves.

Oberlin concludes the season at 7-11 overall and 4-10 in the league.
