Naperville, Ill. – Over the weekend select members of the Oberlin College track and field team competed at the North Central College Gregory Invite, unfortunately no athletes were able to improve upon their season-best marks.
Senior
Clara Shaw, who has already posted an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 2:14.51 in the 800 meters, came in tardy of that mark with a timestamp of 2:17.39 to finish in 27th place.
Classmate
Cordelia Revells placed 19th in the 5,000 meters as she completed the course in 18:20.18.
Also competing for the last time in the crimson and gold was
Madeline Schultz. The Concord, Massachusetts, native, who has been battling injury during the past few weeks, finished the 400-meter hurdles in 1:07.71 to end in 18th place.
“These three athletes have had tremendous seasons and careers here at Oberlin College,” Head Coach
Ray Appenheimer said. “They have done a lot to help our program grow and I couldn't be more proud of them. With that being said, I am extremely proud of our entire program as both the men's and women's teams had excellent years. “
