Ladies Defeat Yeowomen

The Oberlin College Field Hockey Team fell to NCAC rival Kenyon College 2-0 this evening.

The Yeowomen played solid defense throughout the game. The team shut down Kenyon's Ashley McNee, holding her scoreless for the game. 

Karin Yoshida had two shots on goal during the game. She also took three penalty corners that presented great scoring opportunities in the first half.

The Yeowomen had opportunities to score in the first half, but were unable to find the back of the net.

Gillian Winbourn and Tasha Cohan also had solid performances intercepting and distributing the ball during the game.

Kiran Puri had a great game in goal with eleven saves on thirteen shots for the Yeowomen.

"It was a big change from last week's game," said Head Coach Deb Ranieri. "We had great communication throughout the game. It carried over from what we had worked on in practice all week. I am very happy with the improvements this evening."
