Yeowomen Fall to Birmingham-Southern

Dana Rich scored three goals for Oberlin.
Pomona, Calif. – In their first of three matches this week, the Oberlin College women's lacrosse team didn't get the result they were looking for as they fell to Birmingham-Southern 18-11 on Sunday afternoon in game that was played in on the campus of Pomona College in Pomona, California.

Sophomore sensation Taylor Fey led the Oberlin offensive with four goals and also dished out one assist. Senior Dana Rich contributed with three scores of her own to go along with one helper.
The first-year tandem of Lori Sako and Alice Zicht notched their first collegiate goals in the game as they each found the back of cage on two separate occassions.

Oberlin (0-2) hung tight with the Panthers early on as they trailed by just three, 9-6, after the first thirty minutes of play.

Unfortunately, BSC buckled down in the second session as they continued to score, while limiting the Yeowomen to just five scores in the frame.

In her second-career game in the cage, first-year goalie Emily Perry recorded eight saves.

Oberlin returns to action on Tuesday against Pomona College at 7 p.m. PST (10 p.m. EST).
