Oberlin, Ohio – In the final home game of her career, senior
Kira Rivera scored a season-high 16 points, but it wasn't enough as the Wittenberg University Tigers cruised to a 90-51 win over the Yeowomen to close out the regular season for both teams.
Rivera, a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was 6-of-14 from the floor – including an impressive 3-of-4 from beyond the arc. Sophomore
Syrea Thomas was the only other Yeowoman to registered double figures as she checked in with 10 points.
Wittenberg (14-11, 9-7 NCAC) had 15 different players score at least one point in the game with Stephanie Boardman leading the way with 19 points.
Oberlin (5-20, 3-13 NCAC) led 5-3 2:30 into the game, but from then on the Tigers took control and never looked back. OC shot just 22.2-percent (8-of-36) in the first half, which allowed Witt to claim a 40-25 half-time advantage.
Four minutes into the second half the Tigers extended their lead to 21, 52-31, and never let Oberlin get within in 20 the rest of the way.
Wittenberg controlled all of the hustle stats – outscoring Oberlin 38-18 in the paint and netting 22 second-chance points compared to just five for OC. The Tigers also tallied 23 points off of 14 Yeowomen miscues while their bench bunch bested Oberlin 45-9.

Alyssa Clark, January Baker, Mandi VanAllen and Rivera were honored before the game with a special ceremony.
Oberlin has earned the eighth seed in the NCAC Tournament and will travel to take on the top-seeded Big Red of Denison on Tuesday night.
