Alyssa Clark recorded her second double-double of season, but it wasn't enough as the Oberlin College women's basketball team dropped an NCAC road tilt to Kenyon College 67-43 on Saturday night.

Clark netted 11 points and tied a season-high with 11 boards in 35 minutes of work. Sophomore Syrea Thomas deposited 12 points – nine coming in the second half with nearly all her damage coming at charity stripe (7-of-9). Kira Rivera also matched a season-best with nine points on 4-of-11 shooting.

“We did some good things early on tonight, but lost the momentum at the end of the first half and never were able to get it back,” head coach Kerry Jenkins said. “Give Kenyon credit as they played a good game, but we need to continue to work in order to get better.”

The Yeowomen challenged the Ladies throughout the opening session as Rivera converted two of her nine first-half points to get OC within 24-21 with 4:55 left on the clock, however Kenyon responded by closing out the frame with a 9-2 run to grab a 33-23 advantage at the break.

The Ladies continued right where they left off to start the second half – outscoring OC 20-6 through the first 10 minutes of the stanza and never looked back.

Oberlin (1-8, 1-2 NCAC) was plagued by a cold shooting night – connecting on just 24-percent (12-of-50) of its shots – including just 2-of-10 triple tries. Kenyon (3-8, 2-1 NCAC), who has won three straight games, finished at 37.3-percent (22-of-59).

The Yeowomen will have busy week ahead with road matchups at Bryn Mawr and Haverford on Monday and Tuesday before returning back to Ohio for a weekend trip to Wittenberg.
