January 24 – Oberlin College scored a season-low 27 points to allow Kenyon College to come away with a 55-27 win on Saturday afternoon.
Although the Yeowomen had nine different players register points in the game, their leader scorer only had five points on the afternoon.
Oberlin also matched a season-low by shooting 20-percent (9-of-45) and continued its struggles from long range – making just one of 11 triple-tries.
Kenyon, who was in control for the entire 40 minutes, led 25-11 at the half. The Ladies also got scoring contributions from nearly its entire roster as 14 players tallied at least one point in the box score. Their leader scorer was Laura Goehrke with 13 points.
The Yeowomen (3-14, 1-7 NCAC) were plagued by 25 turnovers that led to 27 KC points. Kenyon (6-11, 5-4 NCAC) also won the rebounding war 50-38, which translated into 24-second chance points.
Oberlin will look to regroup on Wednesday night when Ohio Wesleyan comes to town for a 7 p.m. tip.
