R.V. Carroll became the all-time points leader with 250 for his career.
Final Stats

November 15 –
On a wet and rainy Saturday afternoon, the Oberlin College football team couldn't get over the hump as they fell to the Hiram College Terriers 28-19 in the season finale for both schools.

However, it wasn't all heartbreak for Oberlin as senior running back #R.V. Carroll# became the all-time scoring leader (250 points) with his 1-yard TD-run in the first quarter. The senior from Perry, Ohio finished the day with 37 yards on 14 carriers and ends his career as the top rusher in school history.

Senior signal-caller Greg Mangan, who is the most prolific passer to ever wear the crimson and gold, ended his career by completing 20-of-32 passes for 188 yards to go along with two touchdowns and two INTs.

Junior Wayne Mundekis had his best game of the season, accumulating 156 yards of offense (91 rushing, 65 receiving).

It started off good for the Yeomen as Carroll's run was the first score of the game – giving OC a 6-0 edge, but a big kickoff return by the Terriers set-up a 24-yard scoring strike from Trevor Henderson to Glen Campbell – and unlike Oberlin – Hiram converted the PAT for a 7-6 lead at the end of one quarter.

However, the Yeomen responded with a 5-play 38-yard drive that ended with a gratuitous #C.J. Holmon# touchdown reception as the ball deflected off of four players before it found the lap of the first-year player for his first collegiate score.

Back-to-back scores by Hiram (3-7, 2-5 NCAC) gave them a 21-13 lead, but the Yeomen used a 6:25 drive that covered 68 yards on 14 plays – ending in a 1-yard TD toss from Mangan to Danny Enright with just 27 seconds left in the opening half to get them back in the game at 21-19 with just 27 seconds left in the half.

However, inexplicably the Yeomen defense allowed the Terriers to put together a 5-play 61-yard drive in just 19 seconds, which was capped off by a 32-yard TD reception by Kyle Milano to end the opening stanza and post what would prove to be the final score of the game.

With the rain picking up in the second half both teams were unable to score, but Hiram did a good job of milking the clock to preserve the win.

For the second-straight game Tyler Lewis led Oberlin in tackles – finishing with nine on the day.

The loss snaps a six-game winning streak against the Terriers and ends Oberlin's season at 2-8 overall and 2-5 in the NCAC.
