Westlake, Ohio – Following a strong showing at the Oberlin Early Invitational on Oct. 9-10, Oberlin College's Katherine Noller and Martin Gomez have been named North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Swimming Athletes of the Week. 

Noller helped lead the Oberlin women's team to a fourth-place finish out of eight teams, finishing ahead of two NCAA Division II programs. She recorded three top-four finishes in individual events, placing third in the 1,650-yard freestyle to earn 16 team points. Noller added fourth-place finishes in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:27.86 and the 400-yard individual medley in 5:02.49, earning 15 points in each event. She also contributed to the relay efforts, helping Oberlin's B team finish ninth in the 200-yard freestyle relay and 11th in the 400-yard freestyle relay.

Gomez helped the Oberlin men's team secure its own fourth-place finish out of eight teams, also finishing ahead of two NCAA Division II programs. He placed fourth in the 1,650-yard freestyle with a time of 17:14.27, earning 15 team points. Gomez added a seventh-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke in 2:00.96 and ninth in the 400-yard individual medley in 4:29.17, contributing 12 and nine points. He also finished 14th in the 500-yard freestyle in 5:00.86 and helped the A team place fifth in the 800-yard freestyle relay, along with 10th-place finishes in the 200-yard and 400-yard medley relays.

The Crimson and Gold return to action on Friday, October 30, at Ashland, with competition set to begin at 6 p.m.
