Greensboro, North Carolina - Following a strong year in the classroom, the Oberlin College baseball team earned the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Award for the fourth consecutive year.

To be eligible for this award, a program must have a head coach who is a current ABCA member and record a cumulative team grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 or greater during the 2024-25 academic year.

Achieving a cumulative GPA of 3.59, the Crimson and Gold was one of six North Coast Athletic Conference programs to earn this award.

"We are very proud of what our guys accomplish in the classroom," Head Baseball Coach Johnathan Ray notes. "It is something we want them to know is a priority, because that is the number one reason they are here at Oberlin. They chose Oberlin College because of what the degree can do for them for the rest of their lives. They hear it every day from us. What they do in the classroom here can put them in a position to achieve their career goals."

Keep up with the Crimson and Gold on InstagramFacebook, and TikTok, and watch every home game on the Oberlin Sports Network online or on Roku, Apple TV, or Amazon Fire TV.
