Westlake, Ohio – After what can only be described as one of the greatest turnaround seasons in Oberlin history, the Oberlin College women's tennis team earned a triplet of nods to the North Coast Athletic Conference list, as announced by the league office on Thursday.
Anna Pastore and
Rachel Allen were honored for their play in singles matches, while
Hannah Soong and Pastore earned Second-Team All-Conference as a doubles tandem.
Additionally,
Magda Stepnik was named the NCAC Coach of the Year after leading the team to an 8-10 record (3-3) after winning just one game last season. The team's three conference wins tie for the most in a season since 2010-11.
Pastore, a senior out of Rockville, Virginia, led the Yeowomen from the top court in singles play all season. Earning Second-Team All-Conference honors for her efforts, this marks her fourth-straight All-Conference nod. Pastore notched a 12-10 record in her final campaign to finish her career with 85 wins, ranking second all-time in program history.
In her first year with the Crimson and Gold, Allen held down the No. 2 court all season going 10-11 overall. Named a Third-Team All-Conference athlete, Allen is set to guide the Yeowomen in the 2025-26 campaign with the graduation of Pastore.
After starting the season with different doubles partners, Soong and Pastore came together midway through the year. As the No. 1 tandem for the Yeowomen, Soong and Pastore went 7-6 on the top court. While this is Soong's first NCAC honor, Pastore boasts her third career honor in doubles play.
