The 12-11 victory moves Oberlin to 7-2 on the season and 1-1 in NCAC action.

In addition to his game-winner, Starcke added another three goals and a pair of ground balls to his performance. Leading the pack in points Solomon Brennan shined with four goals and two assists. Nicholas Cuda also finished with four points, notching a hat trick in assists and a lone goal.

Evan Sardina continued to reign at the faceoff, winning 19-25 and scooping 11 ground balls.

In a true game of runs, Wooster opened the contest with three goals in the first four minutes, followed by three scores from Oberlin. After Jackson Lu caused a turnover on the defense, Rand cleared the ball upfield where Cuda found classmate Cooper Zancosky for the first goal.

Tied at 3-3, Wooster bookended the quarter break with two goals at the end and one to start the second period. Brennan was involved in the next four goals, scoring on the first and last, while assisting Jack Duffy in between.

The two conference foes were tied again to start the second half, but another CTO from Rand put the Yeomen in position to score. After Cuda and Brennan added another pair of goals, Oberlin lashed out for three more to outscore Wooster 5-1 in the third period.

At the start of the fourth quarter, the Fighting Scots clamped down on the Crimson and Gold, scoring the equalizer with 6:34 remaining. Sardina won the ensuing faceoff, giving Oberlin a critical possession. The Yeomen were unable to convert the next four shots, but with 31 seconds remaining, Starcke rocketed the ball into the back of the net for his 31st goal of the season.

Sardina did his thing in the next faceoff to clinch victory for the Yeomen and even the conference record.
