Orange, CA - The Oberlin College women's soccer team concluded its season-opening road trip to California on Sunday evening, falling 5-0 at Chapman University.
The Yeowomen had no answers for the Panthers as they scored twice in the first half and added three more tallies over the final 45 minutes to leave no doubt in the eventual outcome.
For the second straight match, Oberlin failed to generate much offensive movement, getting outshot 23-4, which included a 13-1 differential in shots on goal.
The Panthers had five different goal-scorers in the game and finished with a 9-1 advantage in corner kicks.
Ali Grant made eight saves in nearly 68 minutes of work before giving way to first-year
Roam Redington.
Heather Benway took three of Oberlin's four shots and had its lone shot on goal in the match.
Oberlin returns home to host Geneva College (Pa.) on Saturday at 4 p.m.
