Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania- The Oberlin College volleyball team capped off their regular season with a pair of loss on Saturday afternoon. Traveling to the Carnegie Mellon Tri-Match, Oberlin first took on Grove City, who they lost to 3-1 (22-25, 25-23, 13-25, 23-25). The Yeowomen followed that up with another loss, this time to Carnegie Mellon, 3-0 (11-25, 9-25, 18-25). The non-conference losses put Oberlin at 5-19 overall on the season ahead of the NCAC Tournament.
Cami Sweet led the Crimson and Gold offense in both matches, totaling 18 kills, on solo block, and two block assist. Zeynep Kaya and Natalie Dufour chimed in with impressive performances as well, notching 16 and 12 kills, respectively.
Setting up a career high 40 assists in the match against Grove City, Genna Gauthier added seven more in the day's second match. A trio of Yeowomen shared digging responsibilities, led by Iris Archibald (38) and followed by Julia Hall (19) and Gauthier (17).

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Crimson and Gold battled back from a seven-point 14-7 deficit, but Grove City hung on to win the first set 25-22.
SET 2 | Oberlin evened the match at 1-1 after a 25-23 victory in set two. The Yeowomen persevered in a back-and-forth set to win in a stanza that featured four lead changes and was tied six times. Neither team led by more than four points along the way. The Oberlin offense also got a boost from four aces in the stanza.
SET 3 | Grove City responded to win set number three, putting Oberlin in a two sets to one hole. The Yeowomen fell in a tough set 25-13. Oberlin trailed by as many as 13 points as Grove City grabbed the advantage for good at 6-5 in a set that was tied up four times before the Wolverines took over the lead.
SET 4 | Oberlin then dropped the fourth set 25-23 to finish off the match. The Crimson and Gold fell in a back-and-forth set, losing in a stanza that featured three lead changes and was tied eight times. Neither team opened up a lead of more than four points along the way.

SET 3 | Carnegie Mellon finished off the sweep with a set-three victory. The Yeowomen fell in a tough set 25-18. Oberlin trailed by as many as seven points as Carnegie Mellon grabbed the advantage for good at 12-11 in a set that was tied up two times before the Tartans took over the lead.
Oberlin takes a short break before returning to action when they travel to DePauw for the opening round of the North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament. The Yeowomen, who are seeded sixth, take on the third seed beginning at 7 p.m.
