Westlake, Ohio - Oberlin College senior Jonah Barber was selected as the North Coast Athletic Conference Runner of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday morning. 

Leading the Yeomen to a fifth-place finish out of 22 teams at the Ohio Wesleyan University Invitational, Barber clocked in at 25:48.8 in the men's 8k to finish second overall and first among Division III competitors. 

Barber led the field of 246 through the first three miles before a sprint to the finish landed the Tucson, Arizona, native in second place, which was the highest individual finish of his career.

The team placed third against Division III programs at the meet. 

He and the rest of the Oberlin harriers are back in action at the SUNY Geneseo Mike Woods Invitational on October 19.
