Inside the Series …
Oberlin trails the all-time series against the Tigers 3-16-4 ... This is the 11th meeting between the schools since DePauw joined the NCAC in 2011 …  Prior to the 2013 season, their last battle came in 1983 when DePauw won 28-15 … The series dates back to 1929 in a game that saw DePauw prevail, 7-0 … The two foes would not meet again until 1941 … Oberlin's first win in the series was in 1945 when they beat the Tigers in the season finale, 26-14, to cap off an undefeated season for the Yeomen.

Scouting the Tigers …
DePauw enters with a perfect 4-0 record after finishing the 2022 season as NCAC Championships with a record of 9-2 … The high-powered Tigers come in ranked 23rd in the nation in both scoring offense (44.5 ppg) and scoring defense (11.8 ppg) … Offensively, they rank 10th in the country with 519.2 yards per game … Junior quarterback Nathan McCahill has thrown for 1,030 yards and a conference-leading 13 touchdowns … He has a plethora of options to choose from as Gabe Quigley, Robby Ballentine, and Jaylon Smith have each corralled four TD tosses … Defensively, Nolan Luke is second in the league with 2.5 sacks, while Jake Comer sits fourth with six tackles for loss.

Last Meeting Against the Tigers …
It was all Tigers in last year's meeting in Greencastle, Indiana, as DePauw roughed-up a banged-up Yeomen side, 72-0, on November 5, 2022 … The Tigers racked up 477 yards of offense and limited the Yeomen to just 56 … Senior wideout Brian Colarusso led the offense with four catches for 39 yards … Brandon Hall paced the defense with 12 tackles, while Hunter Green made 10 stops … Gavi Genger had six tackles - two of which went for loss.

Moving Them Backwards …
The Yeomen defense has done a good job of making plays behind the line of scrimmage so far this season with 20 tackles for loss totaling 74 yards … Forty percent of those TFL's have come in the form of sacks as the Yeomen are tied for third in the league with eight sacks, headlined by the conference leader Hunter Green who has 3.5 sacks and a team-high five tackles for loss.

Top Target …
Junior Evan Smith-Rooks has thrived in his new role in the Yeomen offense as a super back .., The 6-foot-4, 222-pound Atlanta, Georgia native is one of just seven players in the NCAC to have at least 20 catches so far this season … Smith-Rooks, who is averaging 8.1 yards per catch, has snagged 20 balls for 161 yards but is still in search of his first TD reception after throwing for four touchdowns the previous two seasons as a back-up QB.

There are No Flags on the Field …
Under the direction of first-year Head Coach John Pont,  the Yeomen have done a good job limiting penalties thus far, ranking fourth in the NCAC with just 183 penalty yards surrendered over the first four games … The Yeomen have committed 28 infractions, totaling 45.8 yards per game.
