Oberlin, OH- The Oberlin College volleyball team capped off their two-day run at the Battle of the Point in a tough 3-2 loss to Manchester on Saturday afternoon. After taking the first two sets, Oberlin went point-for-point with the Spartans but couldn't hold on as they fell in five sets (25-23, 25-21, 25-27, 19-25, 11-15). The non-conference loss moves Oberlin to 2-1 on the season.
The Yeowomen were led Andréa Jones, who registered 12 kills and 12 digs on the day. Cami Sweet also added 12 kills to help the attack, while Taylor Gywnne tallied an impressive 48 assists. On the defensive end, Iris Archibald chipped in with 20 digs to go with an impressive 5.5 blocks from Natalie Dufour.
