Lexington, KY - For the 10th year in a row the Oberlin College volleyball team earned the United States Marine Corps (USMC)/American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award.

To qualify for the honor a team must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of at least 3.3. Oberlin was one of six North Coast Athletic Conference schools and one of 229 NCAA Division III institutions to meet the criteria this year. 

Initiated during the 1992-93 academic year, is the single largest award offered by the AVCA based on the quantity of schools, players and coaches honors.

Oberlin will open its 2023 season on September 1 in Sandusky, Ohio, at the Battle at the Point Tournament.
