Oberlin, Ohio – The Oberlin College women's tennis team opened North Coast Athletic Conference play with a 6-3 victory over the visiting DePauw University Tigers on Saturday afternoon.

Oberlin caried a 2-1 in singles play after a pair of wins in the top two doubles battles. The top tandem of Marta Laska and Anna Pastore picked up their third win in the last four matches, gutting out an 8-6 victory over Kiley Shaw and Sonal Matta. In the second position, Dina Nouaime and Lydia Zafeiri had a little easier time against Ellen Gardner and Kat Wilder, winning 8-3. It marked the duo's sixth win in their last seven outings.

Laska made short work of Gardner in the top singles flight, earning a 6-1, 6-2 triumph for her second straight victory.
