Oberlin Falls at Heidelberg

TIFFIN, OH --The Oberlin volleyball team fell to the Heidelberg Student Princes in four sets (14-25, 25-22, 10-25, 12-25) Tuesday on the road at Seiberling Gymnasium.

The non-conference loss dropped Oberlin to 13-8 on the season.

Cami Sweet finished with 10 kills  to lead the Yeowomen attack. Oberlin also got 17 digs from Iris Archibald to lead them defensively.

How It Happened

SET 1 | The Yeowomen fell behind early, losing a tough first set 25-14. Oberlin trailed by as many as 11 points as Heidelberg grabbed the advantage for good at 5-4 in a set that was notted up three times before the Student Princes took control.

SET 2 | Oberlin evened the match at 1-1 following a 25-22 set-two win. The Yeowomen scored first and never trailed in the set to earn the victory. Oberlin opened up as much as a seven point lead at 11-4 before closing out the set, totaling 15 kills along the way. The Yeowomen hit .333 over the course of the set.

SET 3 | Heidelberg took a 2-1 match lead after taking down the Yeowomen in the third set. The Yeomen dropped the first point and never clawed back into the lead before losing the set 25-10.

SET 4 | Oberlin then dropped the fourth set 25-12 to finish off the match. The Yeowomen fell behind on the first point and never took the lead before falling in the set.
