Heisman … OWU leads the series 59-21-1 and has won 11 straight against Oberlin … The last Yeomen triumph against the Bishops came in 2010 by a 16-12 count.

Scouting the Bishops …
Ohio Wesleyan is coming in well rested off a bye week with their last game coming back on October 14 when the Bishops edged out Hiram 19-18 … OWU ranks second in the league in scoring defense, allowing just 23.1 points per game … The Bishops deploy a two-quarterback system with seniors Kaden Buza and Austin Womack … The duo has combined for 1,640 yards and 14 touchdowns … Sophomore Josh Hurst has been a favorite target, ranking fourth in the NCAC with 78.3 yards per game and his 56 catches are the second most in the conference … His fellow wide receiver Tyler Webb is tied for fourth with seven TDs … Drew Thorton leads the NCAC with 8.9 tackles per game, while Marquel Henry ranks second with seven sacks while pacing the league with 11.5 tackles for loss.

Last Meeting Against the Bishops …
It was an ugly day for the Yeomen on October 29, 2022 as the Bishops roughed them up 77-0 … OWU scored 10 first-half touchdowns and never looked back … Ben Ephraim led the offense with 43 yards receiving on six catches, while Hunter Green paced the defense with nine tackles.

You Get a Catch … You Get a Catch … You Get a Catch
The Yeomen are not afraid to distribute the ball on offense as 18 different players have at least one reception this year … In comparison just 12 players hauled in a pass in 2022 and 14 in 2021 … Evan Smith-Rooks leads the contingency with 34 catches for 280 yards and a TD, while Connor Steele is second with 16 receptions and leads the team with three touchdowns.

Senior Send-Off …
The Yeomen bid farewell to nine graduating seniors on Saturday led by co-captains Jake Russell and Hunter Wilson … The other seven seniors who will be playing for the final time on the Bailey Field turf include Adel Dibaei, Ryan McCrum, Drew Bernard, Danny Ben-Tal, Leander Herman, Wes Penta, and Jack Diskin.

Keeping Up with the QB…
In his first season under center, it has been a mixed bag for sophomore quarterback Drew Nye who has thrown for 10 touchdowns but has been picked off a league-high 11 times … Nye, who has thrown for 1,259 yards, still ranks sixth in the league in total offense with 197.3 yards per game … The Clinton, Connecticut, native has also been a part of 315 plays, which is second most of any player in the conference.

Nearly Perfect Penta …
Oberlin senior Wes Penta is a perfect 4-for-4 on field goal opportunities this season after he connected on a pair last week against Hiram … Penta is one of just two kickers in the NCAC without a miss this year, joining Wooster's Lake Barrett who is also 4-for-4 … Penta does have one missed PAT as he is 8-of-9 on the year.
