Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Oberlin Comes Up Short Against Wooster

Wooster, Ohio – In their first game of 2023, the Oberlin College men's basketball team came up short in their battle with Wooster on Wednesday night. Although a loss, the Yeomen battled until the end in the 62-48 loss as they move to 4-9 and 0-4 in conference play.

In tandem effort, the Montenegrin dup of Dimitrije Radusinovic and Dorde Otasevic each put up 14 points while combining for 12 rebounds.

The Yeomen opened the scoring efforts right away as Radusinovic hit a jumper in the paint for the early 2-0  lead. The two teams battled back-and-forth before settling at 12-12 midway through the half. The Fighting Scots broke ahead of the Yeomen on an 11-2 run before securing a double-digit lead. Oberlin continued to battle back as Radusinovic combined with Anastasis Spyroglou and Chris Allen Jr. to cut the lead to three at the end of the half.

Getting underway at 28-25, Oberlin got off to a slow start in the second half and struggled to bring themselves back into the game. A three-pointer from Will Bousquette III at 9:37 cut the Wooster lead to five, but the home team responded with ten unanswered points to insure their advantage. The Oberlin squad never got any close to the Fighting Scots as Wooster went on to win the NCAC matchup 62-48

Oberlin looks to rebound and snag their first conference win this Saturday, January 7 as they play host to Wittenberg. Tipoff is set for 2pm with a live stream available here and live stats here.
