Oberlin, Ohio- After a quick goal in the first half, the Oberlin college women's soccer team fell to Baldwin Wallace, 2-1 on Wednesday night.
Â
The lone goal came off the boot of
Adrienne Sato in the 13'. The junior has now scored in back-to-back games, notching the only goals in each of those matches.
Benji, suffering a loss for the first time in her career, earned the start in cage and played the full 90 minutes, making seven saves.

The Yeomen came out strong against the Yellow Jackets, earning the first corner kick of the match just two minutes in. Minutes later, Baldwin Wallace looked to clear the ball from their side of the field, but a short kick was intercepted by Sato. Dribbling forward for a long shot still, Sato sent the ball toward the center of the cage but a tip from the goalie pushed the ball into the far corner of the net. Up 1-0, the Yellow Jackets responded late into the half to even the game at 1-1 before the intermission.
Â
Baldwin Wallace flexed their seniority as they dominated possession from start to finish in the second half. Just over ten minutes in, Baldwin Wallace scored again to take the one-goal advantage. Oberlin got a few looks at cage, but unable to convert any BW took the 2-1 victory.
