Oberlin, Ohio- In a non-conference friendly with Wittenberg, the Oberlin College Field Hockey team battled in a 1-0 loss to the Tigers on Saturday afternoon. The Yeowomen now sit at 2-4 on the season before the start of NCAC action.

Wittenberg dominated possession through the game, with their lone goal coming late in the second period off a well-placed shot from outside the arch. The ball sailed into the upper-left corner to put Wittenberg up 1-0. At the start of the third quarter
, Post made an especially impressive performance as they made a trio of saves in less than 15 seconds. Although dealt a tough hand the Yeowomen held the Tigers off for the remainder of the half, taking the 1-0 loss.

The team has a quick turnaround as they get back to action tomorrow, September 25 for a home match against Translyvania. The last time the Pioneers came to town, Oberlin secured a victory for the books in a close 1-0 match. Starting at 1pm, the home game will have a live stream available
