Oberlin, Ohio - After 80 minutes of play between the visiting Transylvania University Pioneers and the Oberlin College Yeowomen, neither team was able to score thus forcing a round of strokes to determine a winner with Oberlin prevailing 3-1. 

Abbie Patchen got the proceedings started by scoring on Oberlin's first stroke attempt and following a denial by Post , Elly Scheer cashed in her shot to give Oberlin a 2-0 advantage. Oberlin missed its next two chances, giving the Pioneers life as Kayla Bushman got the visitors on the board but following another wide attempt from OC, Sidney Aldridge's effort was also turned away by Post to set up Jackie Oh for the game-winning score. 

During the run of play, the Yeowomen struggled to generate much offensive movement, as the Pioneers created the bulk of the chances with a 17-5 shot advantage, including a 6-3 margin in shots on goal. However, Post stood tall and kept the Pioneers off the board with six saves. 

Ruby Schreiber attempted four of Oberlin's five shots with three of those being on frame. 

OC moved to 3-4 with the in while the Pioneers fell back to 3-5. 

Oberlin opens up NCAC play on Saturday at Allegheny.
