Delaware, OH – The Oberlin College field hockey team suffered a 10-0 setback at Ohio Wesleyan University on Thursday afternoon to open the 2022 season.
The Yeowomen struggled to generate much offensive movement, failing to attempt a single shot in the contest.
The Bishops triggered 17 first-quarter shots, scoring four times in the frame and never looking back. They would add three more tallies in the second and third periods to cap the game's scoring.
Post and first-year
Janny McCormick split time in goal with Post making six saves in 45 minutes of action while McCormick added seven denials in 15 minutes of work. First-year
Elly Scheer also had a defensive save for the Yeowomen.
The Bishops finished with 43 shots, 28 of which were on goal. They also earned 19 penalty corners in the win.
Oberlin opens a three-game homestand on Saturday against Nazareth College at 3 p.m.
