Oberlin, OH – Over the weekend, Oberlin College's Track and Field teams sent a handful of athletes to the Harrison Dillard Twilight Meet in Berea, OH on Friday evening and the ROC City Final in Rochester, NY on Sunday afternoon.

The Crimson and Gold harriers crushed their competition on Saturday, highlighted by Anna Scott's huge PR of 2:14.33 in the 800m run. With one of the fastest times in school history, the senior is just 2.38 seconds outside the NCAA top-20. Zac Ntia also set a new career-best with a throw of 51. 51m in the hammer throw. In the 400m hurdles, Cole Fuller finished sixth with a time of 56.27 before Clare Tiedemann finished fourth in the 100m with a time of 16.04. In the women's hammer throw event, both Iyanna Lewis and Abby Cannon competed, finished third and tenth, respectively. Lewis threw for 50.21m while Cannon scored a 45.30m. Trying to match her record height of 3.95m in pole vault, Sarah Voit fell short but finished third among her competition at 3.68m. Malaika Djungu-Sungu rounded out the Friday meet in the long jump after leaping 5.21m for a fifth-place finish.

On Sunday, Aesha Mokashi, Tiedemann, Voit continued their last minute qualifying campaign in a trip to Nazareth College's ROC City Final Qualifier. Tiedemann headlined the day after her performance in the long jump set a new school record. The 5.59m jump is .01m longer than Djungu-Sungu's leap at the NCAC Championship. For Mokashi, a new personal best was the outcome of her triple jump performance. A jump of 11.15m is the senior new best and come just .73m off the NCAA top-20. The pole vaulting junior, Voit, passed on several heights only to fault three times at the 3.50m height.

The Yeomen and Yeowomen get back to action next week as they take a short ride out to Mount Union for their Last Chance Meet. The two-day event starts on Wednesday, May 18 at 2pm.
