Oberlin Track and Field Take on Mid-February Invite

Berea, Ohio – Ahead of their All Ohio DIII Championships on Saturday, the Oberlin College Track and Field travelled to Baldwin Wallace for the Mid-February Invitational on Friday night.
 
Starting in the field, Isaiah Schuham-Anders finished seventh in the men's weight throw. His 13.46m toss beat out a field of over 30 athletes to finish top-ten. On the women's side, Victoria Blair took home third with a throw of 13.65m, marking a personal best for the season. In the jumps, Aislinn Cannistraro and Aimee Wattes finished in the top-eight with leaps of 1.50m and 1.45m, respectively. For the women's pole vault, Sydney Kulkarni finished fourth clearing a height of 2.60m.
 
In the second half of the meet, Jonah Barber finished third in a huge field of harriers for the men's one mile race with a time of 4:29.62, just five seconds off the front runner. Zoe Garver kept the young Yeowomen moving with another fourth place finish in the 400m race with a time of 1:04.66. In the men's 400m race, Cole Fuller finished second with a time of 52.35 for the Yeomen.
 
The Yeomen and Yeowomen get back on the track again tomorrow Saturday, February 12 as they travel to Westerville, OH to compete in the All Ohio DIII Championships.
