Oberlin, Ohio – The Oberlin College field hockey team suffered a 3-0 setback to the visiting Kenyon College Owls on Monday night at the Austin E. Knowlton Athletics Complex.
The Yeowomen struggled to generate much offensive movement, failing to attempt a single shot in the contest.
After a scoreless opening quarter, the Owls would get on the board early in the second when Bella Kern cashed in her team-leading seventh goal of the year off a cross from Lana Stone. Grace Lane would tack on a goal in each of the third and fourth quarters to leave no doubt in the eventual outcome.
Post went the distance between the pipes, making eight saves to run their season account to 94.
Jackie Oh and
Elly Scheer each added a defensive save in the loss.
The Owls put 13 of their 16 shots on goal and earned 12 penalty corners in the win.
Oberlin will honor its seniors and conclude the 2022 season on Saturday at noon as the College of Wooster Fighting Scots come to town.
