Field Hockey Stumbles at DePauw

Greencastle, IN – The Oberlin College field hockey team suffered a 7-0 setback at DePauw University on Saturday afternoon.

The Yeowomen struggled to generate much offensive movement, failing to attempt a single shot in the contest.

The Tigers scored two first-quarter goals and led 3-0 at the half. They would add on three more goals in the third quarter before tacking on a single tally in the fourth to leave no doubt in the eventual outcome.

Post and Janny McCormick split time in goal, combining to make seven saves, while Abbie Patchen and Elly Scheer each made a defensive save in the loss.

The Tigers finished with 28 shots, 16 of which were on goal. They also earned nine penalty corners in the win while Oberlin triggered none.

Oberlin has a short turnaround, going right back to work on their Indiana road swing with a 1 p.m. conference clash at Earlham.
