Alma, MI – The Oberlin College men's soccer team suffered a 4-1 setback at Alma College on Saturday afternoon.

Less than three minutes into the battle the Scots would claim the lead when Joe Rawlin
Finished off a feed from Ethan Swartzentruber. Alma would strike again a mere seven minutes later as Sandro Suffredini cashed in a pass from Keegan Hobson to make it 2-0 and it would stay that way until the intermission.
Shortly after the Scots' second tally,
Ben Kessler and
Xander Francoeur each put shots on frame that were denied by Chris Henry.
Oberlin came out more aggressive in the second half as
Alex Caceres had a dangerous chance just 53 seconds in and moments later
Nic Jandeleit had his header corralled by Henry.
Following an insurance score from Matthew Przepiora in the 79
th minute, Oberlin would eventually breakthrough in the closing minutes as
Jesper Soelvberg netted his first-career goal with the rookie Francoeur also earning his first-career point with the assist.
The Scots would cap the game's scoring with 39 ticks left on the clock with Wartzentruber earning his second assist on Isaac Jackson's goal.
Oberlin finished with an 11-9 edge in shots but the Scots had 7-5 advantage in shots on goal. The Yeomen also earned six corners compared to just two for the scots.
First-year
