Mequon, WI – The Oberlin College field hockey team embarked on its longest road trip of the season to Mequon, Wisconsin, only to succumb the host Falcons of Concordia University (WI) by the score of 8-0 on Wednesday afternoon.
The Falcons scored early and often as they cruised to victory over the Yeowomen to run their record to 2-3 while dropping Oberlin back to 0-4.
Caroline Slick deposited two of the Falcons' three first-quarter goals and they would add on four more tallies in the second to carry a 7-0 lead into the intermission.
The second half was much more closely contested as the Yeowomen held the Falcons to just one more goal over the final 30 minutes of action, which came off the stick of Alex Klamm after she was set up by Paige Armijo.
Susan Robinson-Cloete triggered Oberlin's lone shot of the match.

Julia Vincent split time in the cage and they each made six saves.
The Falcons put 21 of their 36 shots on frame and finished with a 17-0 advantage in penalty corners.
The Yeowomen return home to host the Kenyon College Ladies on Friday night at Bailey Field. The first touch is set for 7 p.m.
