Oberlin, Ohio – Meeting for the second time this season, Oberlin Track and Field hosted Earlham for their final home meet of the year.
Oberlin's women's triple jump athletes swept the podium, led by Aesha Mokashi with a jump of 33-07.50 (10.25m) followed by Hayden Hill and Nina Hoyt. Victoria Blair and Clare Tiedemann led the way for the Yeowomen in field events as Blair won the women's shot put with a season-best throw of 38.06.00 (11.73m) while Tiedemann won the women's long jump with a season-best of 17-01.25 (5.21m). Abby Cannon earned a victory of her own in the hammer throw, going for 141-04 (43.07m) and also took the top spot in the discus with a mark of 120-04 (36.68m). In the men's long jump event, Connor Hibbard (21-01) and Cameron MacIntyre (17-0) took first and second, respectively.
On the track, Eliza Medearis won the 400m hurdles event with a time of 1:19.69 to move into the top-ten times in the conference. MacIntyre set a new season-best in the 110m hurdles, going for 15.86 to move into the fifth-best time in the NCAC. Lucia Rathbun and Sam Mader each won their 800m runs, coming within seconds of their season-high times. In the 400m dash, Oberlin was well represented as Adriano Atallah continued his victory streak, nearly breaking his own NCAC season-high by .71 as he clocked in at 49.96. On the other end of the race, freshman Myranda Montoye earned gold with a time of 1:05.09. Anna Scott set a new personal best record for themselves in the 1500m run with a time of 5:02.45 to earn a first-place finish.
In the relay races, the Yeowomen's 'A' team took first in the 4x100m race with a time of 51.72, coming within milliseconds of besting their previous time. The team took care of business in the 4x400m relays, earning first in both the men's and women's race.
The Yeomen and Yeowomen compete again in an away meet against Case Western in Cleveland, OH on May 1. The event starts at 10:30am and results and recap will be posted upon the conclusion of the meet.
