Oberlin, OH- After dropping their match against Albion yesterday, the Oberlin volleyball team bounced back with a 3-1 (25-23, 20-25, 25-16, 26-24) victory over Adrian on Saturday afternoon The Yeowomen move to an even 11-11 overall with a 2-5 record in conference play.
 The Oberlin squad struggled early in the first set, going down 11-5 to the Bulldogs. A block from both
Natasha Radic and
Cami Sweet got the Yeowomen even with their opponent and began a long comeback. Followed by five straight points, including two kills from Andréa Jones, Oberlin took a three-point lead at 20-17. Adrian battled back to even the score at 23 each, but back-to-back errors gave Oberlin the necessary points to win the first set, 25-23. The Yeowomen put together a slew of points to begin the second set, but the Bulldogs responded with their own run to tie the set at 6-6. It was point-for-point thereafter, but Adrian was able to pull ahead and steal the second set by 25-20.

Tied at 1-1 overall, the Crimson and Gold looked to a late set run of points to gain a one set advantage over the Bulldogs. Scoring the last eight points of the third set, Sweet accounted for a pair of kills while
Lauren Sands landed a service ace. The Yeowomen recorded their largest margin of victory in the third set by a score of 25-16.

Knowing they would have to put up a strong defense to keep the Yeowomen from taking the fourth set, the Bulldogs battled point-for-point with the Yeowomen throughout the first half of the set. Tied at 12-12,
Iyanna Lewis and Sweet notched a block assist to gain the lead, followed by a service ace from
Myriahlea DeHaro to take a comfortable 15-12 lead. Adrian inched their way back into match, regaining the lead at 24-23. The Yeowomen responded with an aggressive attack to close out the match, highlighted by a Lewis kill and two service aces from Jones.

The Yeowomen hit the road for their final match of the regular season on Wednesday, October 27. Taking on the Hiram Terriers, the first serve is set to take place at 6pm. Live stream available
