Delaware, Ohio – The College men's lacrosse team suffered a 21-10 loss at Ohio Wesleyan University on Friday night.
Tom Decker led the Yeomen charge with four goals and two assists, while rookie
Michael Muldoon also cashed in three goals on the night.
Griffin Cappelletti was in the giving mood as he dished out four assists in the loss.
The Yeomen scored early in the first to make it 2-1 OWU but the Bishops would take control from there as they deposited 14 straight goals before the Yeomen were able to get on the board again.
Decker's tally at the 9:21 mark of the third quarter finally stopped the Bishops' barrage but the eventual outcome was never in doubt. The Decker tally jumpstarted a string of five straight Oberlin goals. A
Matthew Barry finish was in the middle of a pair of goals by Decker and Muldoon.
Oberlin would outscore OWU 9-8 in the second half but it was too little too late for the Yeomen. Decker,
Jack Stevens, Muldoon, and Barry would all score in the fourth quarter.
Max McAllister impressed on the face-off spot winning 13-of-20 tries while scooping up a team-high seven ground balls.
Calvin Filson worked the first three quarters in goal, making seven saves before
Will Baker denied two shots in the fourth.
Oberlin is back in action on Wednesday night as it hosts Kenyon College at 7 p.m.
