Oberlin, Ohio – The Oberlin College men's soccer team were blanked by Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday evening at Shults Field.
The Bishops got on the board early in this one with an 8
th minute goal.
The Yeomen hung with the Bishops for most of the half before Ohio Wesleyan broke it open with goals in the 40
th and 45
th minute to send Oberlin into halftime trailing 3-0.
After the half, a pass from Ohio Wesleyan's backline sent an attacker streaking down the far side before he beat the Oberlin keeper in the bottom left corner for the fourth goal of the night in the 52
nd minute.
Two minutes later, the Battling Bishops got their final goal of the evening as a blast from deep outside the box was perfectly placed in the upper left-hand corner for Ohio Wesleyan's fifth goal of the match.
The Battling Bishops outshot the Yeomen 20-9 and 10-2 in shots on goal.
