Oberlin, Ohio - The Oberlin College field hockey team dropped a 3-0 decision to the visiting College of Wooster Fighting Scots on a wet and rainy afternoon at the Austin E. Knowlton Athletics Complex.
The Scots controlled the run of play for the majority of the contest as they fired off 17 shots which included 14 shots on goal. Yeowomen rookie netminder
Mary Post did her part to keep Oberlin in the match as she finished with 10 saves to run her season account to 86.
The Scots took the lead in the early going when Harriett Sudduth rifled in a shot from the top of the arc off a corner. Sydney Schuster set her up on the play. In the 14
th minute it was nearly an identical score by the Scots, but this time Suddth's trigger to the front of the cage was redirected by Katie Agatucci.
Oberlin never really threatened in the second half as the Scots added another goal in th 41st minute to win 3-0.
The loss dropped Oberlin back to 3-12 overall and 0-6 in the NCAC. Wooster improved to 4-10 and picked up their first conference win to improve to 1-5.
The Yeowomen will continue their season-ending homestand on Tuesday afternoon when they welcome the Kenyon College Ladies to town for a 4:30 p.m. conference clash.
