Springfield, Ohio – The Oberlin College volleyball team couldn't keep pace with the high-powered Tigers of Wittenberg University, falling in straight sets by the scores of 25-7, 25-16, 25-13.
The Tigers, who sit just outside the nation's Top 25, hit .262 for the match with 41 kills against 14 errors. Their efforts kept Oberlin out of system as the Yeowomen had 15 kills on 99 swings in the setback.
Senior
Maura Gibbs led Oberlin with six kills while sophomore
Natasha Radic added three send-downs in the loss.
Samantha Lam had 12 assists to go along with eight digs.
Zoe Kuzbari led the backline unit with 12 digs.
Oberlin was hindered by nine service receptions and 16 attack errors.
The loss dropped the Yeowomen to 9-10 overall and 1-4 in the NCAC. The Tigers moved to 11-7 and remained unblemished in league play at 4-0.
The Yeowomen are back in action tomorrow at DePauw University. The first serve is set for 1 p.m.
